The GM Energy PowerShift Charger offers both convenience and innovation. It provides easy at-home charging and, when paired with the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit (sold separately - https://gmenergy.gm.com/for-home/products/gm-energy-v2h-enablement-kit), enables bidirectional charging to power your properly equipped home during a power outage. Installation required by a professional electrician (like those found through Qmerit, a GM-preferred installer). The GM Energy PowerShift Charger and GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit requires an adequately charged and properly equipped GM EV (anticipated compatible vehicles - https://gmenergy.gm.com/for-home/products/gm-energy powershift-charger) having bidirectional charging capabilities, a properly equipped home and proper grid interconnection. Some eligible 24MY EVs will require a dealership or over-the-air update to enable bidirectional charging. Depending on a residence’s power needs, certain appliances, utilities and circuits may not be powered during an outage. Weather conditions, useful life of the battery, vehicle variation and usage, and other external factors will impact the duration of power supply. Power supply may be interrupted. It is not recommended that the following be powered with the GM Energy PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit: medical devices. GM is not responsible for third-party electrician work. Charge rates shown are provided as 'up to' values, actual charge rates will vary based on battery condition, output of charger, vehicle settings, outside temperature and other conditions. Discharge capabilities are only available when the GM Energy PowerShift Charger is paired with the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit and compatible GM EV.

Vehicle-to-Home capability will vary by vehicle and is dependent on factors such as hardware specifications, operating system versions and software updates. Select GM EVs are V2H capable (anticipated V2H-capable vehicles listed here - https://gmenergy.gm.com/for-home/guidance/faqs) and some eligible 24MY EVs require a dealership or over-the-air update to enable bidirectional charging.
