The GM Energy Storage Bundle lets you store energy from the grid or compatible solar panels to use during a power emergency or when costs spike to potentially save on energy costs. Compatible with GM Energy PowerShift Charger (sold separately) which can enable your V2H capable GM EV to supply backup power to your properly equipped home during an outage. Please note: All charging requires a circuit suitable for the heavy-duty, continuous load of charging. Speed of charging may vary based on vehicle type, battery condition, input voltage, vehicle settings and outside temperature. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates may be necessary for additional functionality and convenience features in the future. Visit here for GM Privacy Statement - https://www.gm.com/privacy-statement. **Available on select Apple and Android devices. Service availability, features and functionality vary by vehicle, device and the plan you are enrolled in. Terms apply. Device data connection required. Actual images and features may vary and are subject to change. *Anticipated V2H-capable GM EVs listed here - https://gmenergy.gm.com/support/faqs. Some eligible 24MY EVs will require a dealership or over-the-air update to enable V2H capability. ***Actual production will vary. The GM Energy PowerShift Charger and GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit shown requires an adequately charged V2H-capable GM EV, a properly equipped home, and proper grid interconnection. Weather conditions, life of the battery, vehicle variation and usage, and other external factors may impact the capability and duration of power supply. Depending on a residence’s power needs, certain appliances, utilities and circuits may not be powered during an outage. ******Adding a utility rate plan is not available when using the GM Energy PowerShift on its own. To access this feature, the GM Energy PowerShift must be utilized with the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit and optional GM Energy PowerBank. Enabling Time of Use operational mode requires the use of the GM Energy PowerBank. ****The GM Energy Storage Bundle shown requires a fully charged and properly equipped PowerBank, and proper grid interconnection. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates average daily home energy appliance usage to be 30 kWh. Weather conditions, life of the battery, PowerBank usage and other external factors may impact the duration of time. *****Power output will be limited by inverter settings. Please see GM Energy Inverter specifications for more details. Power supply may be interrupted. It is not recommended that the following be powered with the GM Energy PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit: medical devices. GM is not responsible for third-party electrician work. Charge rates shown are provided as 'up to' values, actual charge rates will vary based on battery condition, output of charger, vehicle settings, outside temperature and other conditions. See the vehicle’s Owner’s Manual for additional limitations. Discharge capabilities are only available when the GM Energy PowerShift Charger is paired with the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit and compatible GM EV.

Vehicle-to-home (V2H) or bidirectional charging enables energy to flow in two directions. Not only does it send energy from your home to your EV for charging (unidirectional)—it also enables you to send energy from your V2H-capable GM EV* back to your home when the grid is down (bidirectional), providing you with a brilliant new source of backup power.
Communications such as physical letters, email and in-vehicle notifications may be sent to you as appropriate and required for the software updates. For an over-the-air (OTA) update, you will be notified in your vehicle via the touchscreen and can select “Learn more” on the update screen when offered. This will provide update release notes about the improvements included in the update.
