This handheld Cadillac Accessories GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter is designed for compatible GM EVs with a NACS charging inlet. It unlocks access to the GM Energy PowerShift Charger (sold separately), supporting your EV home charging needs. The GM Energy PowerShift Charger offers convenient at-home charging with the fastest performance in the GM EV charging portfolio. Includes one GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter and a full-color product postcard on usage that links out to more information. PLEASE NOTE: To achieve full vehicle-to-home capabilities when the GM Energy PowerShift Charger is installed with the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit (both sold separately), the GM CCS1 DC Adapter (sold separately) is required. To charge your vehicle safely, the electrical circuit must be built to handle the high, steady power demand of EV charging. Speed of charging will vary based on vehicle type, battery condition, input voltage, vehicle settings and outside temperature. Over-the-air (OTA) vehicle software updates may be necessary for additional functionality and convenience features in the future. Actual images and features may vary and are subject to change. Users should not modify or repair the adapter, as this could pose fire hazards, electric shock risks, or cause compatibility issues. Actual production will vary. The GM Energy PowerShift Charger and GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit shown requires an adequately charged and properly equipped GM EV (see anticipated compatible vehicles - https://gmenergy.gm.com/ev-charging/gm-energy-powershift-charger) having bidirectional charging capabilities, a properly equipped home and proper grid interconnection. Some eligible 24MY EVs will require a dealership or OTA update to enable bidirectional charging. Depending on a residence’s power needs, certain appliances, utilities and circuits may not be powered during an outage. Weather conditions, useful life of the battery, vehicle variation and usage, and other external factors will impact the duration of power supply. Power supply may be interrupted. It is not recommended that the following be powered with the GM Energy PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit: medical devices. WARNING: The misuse of charge cord adapters may cause electrical overheating, resulting in vehicle damage or personal injury. Only use GM-approved adapters with the charge cord. If you use an adapter, or charging equipment, which is not sold, provided or approved by General Motors and it causes damage to your vehicle’s charging system (battery, inlet, etc.), it would not be covered under the limited warranty. See your GM vehicle limited warranty for more details. GM is not liable for damages arising from use of non-GM-approved adapters, charging stations or non-GM vehicles. This adapter is not designed to be stored outdoors.

Package Specifications
GM warrants the GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter against defects in materials or workmanship for up to 1 year from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser. GM will replace the part or parts deemed to be defective, at its sole discretion, at no cost to the purchaser; any associated labor costs, however, are not covered by this warranty. This warranty applies exclusively to the original retail purchaser when (i) purchased via MyBrand App, (ii) shipped directly to the original purchaser by GM or a GM dealership, or (iii) received with vehicle at time of purchase in CARB compliant states. This GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter is a portable adapter designed to enable a GM EV with a NACS charging inlet to utilize the home GM Energy PowerShift Charger (sold separately).
Place the GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter onto the GM Energy Powershift Charger coupler first and then insert it into the vehicle charge port. Once the charger and adapter are securely in place, you can open your vehicle mobile app or infotainment system and follow the prompts to begin charging. Once a charge session is complete, you may remove the coupler and GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter as one unit from the vehicle. You can then close the charge port and remove the GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter from the home charger, separating the two (To remove the adapter from the GM Energy PowerShift Charger, you will need to pull the adapter off the charging coupler). GM recommends storing the GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter in your vehicle until your next charging session.
Yes, the GM Energy PowerShift Charger is Wi-Fi-enabled to allow for charging using the myChevrolet and myCadillac mobile apps or infotainment system for charging at home. The myChevrolet and myCadillac mobile apps are available on select Apple and Android devices. GM strongly advises that customers use a GM PowerShift AC Charging Adapter for charging at the Level 2 GM Energy PowerShift Charger, which has been specifically designed to protect GM EV batteries while charging. Damage to vehicle components resulting from the installation or use of non-GM-approved parts is not covered under the terms of the vehicle limited warranty and may affect remaining warranty coverage for affected parts.
