Yes. Cadillac Accessories Roof Ditch Moldings (sold separately) are required to attach these roof-mounted side rails. Your factory moldings completely cover your roof ditch. The accessory roof ditch moldings are designed to replace these for access to four attachment points. The side rails then install to these attachment points.

Initial installation by an authorized dealer is recommended. It is not recommended, but they can be removed. Once removed, they will leave exposed holes in your roof moldings.
